RUF RGT-8: WITH 8 CYLINDERS INTO THE FUTURE
While the 6-cylinder Boxer engines were sufficient for the previous generations of the RGT line, the brand new RGT-8 model has an 8-cylinder heart. To improve chassis stability and to increase the safety of the passengers the car has a discreetly integrated roll cage. The ceramic disc-brakes and aluminium rims with a central wheel nut give the base RGT-8 a special edge.
“All we started with was a blank piece of paper.“Alois Ruf
Additionally, there will be a special „Frère-Package“ that includes a special design in the front, the hood and the rear as well as unique dashboard components. The styling was inspired by the 550 Coupé with which Paul Frère, the Belgian race driver, won the best of class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1953.
